My Health & Beauty Guide

There are way too many options when it comes to shampoo, conditioner, soap, makeup, etc. Sadly, most of the products we are using and see in our local drugstores, contain toxins. After spending tons of money and time trying to find the effective products that are toxin-free, I have finally found them!

We need to be aware of the toxins in our every day beauty products.
For example, using products with the ingredient labeled "fragrance":
The concern is Fragrance is a known human immune system toxicant or allergen. Reference from the SCCNFP (The Scientific Committee on Cosmetic Products and Non-Food Products Intended for Consumers). There is high concern for this ingredient, as well as many others! Let's go toxin free, and stop supporting the big brand names that are putting these chemicals into our products, and start supporting those who are concerned about our health & safety.

There are many products out there and we all have different needs. I hope this guide puts you into a direction of toxin-free health and beauty products!
I would also like to note that most of these products can be found on drugstore.com.

    1. I actually wouldn't recommend Lush. Unfortunately, they seem like they are great making hand made products, but here's an example some harmful ingredients in their shampoo: Fragrance, Methylparaben , Propylparaben.

Definitely check the labels, and here is a great website to search how harmful the ingredients in your product are.
They rate on a scale 0-10, 10 being the most harmful. http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/

Here is a link to EWG's rating on the ingredient Propylparaben, which rates a red zone 7:

I recommend trying to stay away from Parabens, Fragrance, etc.
Suzanne Somers also has great articles on harmful ingredients, such as parabens, sulfates, etc. Any other questions, feel free to contact me!
